Enter the world of Exandria, a land of infinite wonder and unexpected champions, and experience the Critical Role adventures through Codenames. Assemble a party of heroes from the first three Critical Role campaigns, embark on missions, and level up your characters to defeat the final boss.

Codenames: Critical Role Adventures is a unique take on Codenames inspired by the Critical Role universe. It’s a fully cooperative version of the game where one GM (game master) leads their party through perilous missions, each with its own twist and take on the classic Codenames rules and featuring a new set of themed words. Play the game in three separate campaigns, choose from seven Critical Role characters, and, by leveling them up, unlock new abilities and equip items to use during missions.

  • Fresh and unique take on classical Codenames inspired by the Critical Role universe
  • Fully cooperative—one Game Master (GM) leads their party through perilous missions
  • Includes three campaigns with branching missions, where each mission features its own goals and rules
  • Choose from 7 iconic Critical Role characters—Vex (and Trinket), Percy, Grog, Jester, Nott, Dorian, and Fresh Cut Grass
  • Level-up your characters after every mission, unlock their abilities and quip new items

Richard ★★★★★

I've played regular Codenames a ton, so the Critical Role twist felt like a fresh way to get my group arguing over clue words again. Picking heroes from the first three campaigns as your party is a nice touch, even if a couple of my friends kept second-guessing which characters counted. Setup still

Edward ★★★★★

The hero cards are a nice touch, and my party spent way too long arguing over whether Jester counts as a Magic-user. It plays like regular Codenames but the Exandria flavor makes it feel fresh.

Everyone in my group already watches the show, so seeing all the familiar heroes from the first three campaigns as codenames made setup instantly exciting. The spy cards kept us guessing for over an hour, and it’s the first time our non-Critical Role friends wanted to play a second round back-to-bac
