Selling potions to fund artifact purchases is such a clever loop, and deducing ingredient properties on that deduction grid never stops being satisfying. Our group's first play ran long since everyone kept second-guessing their experiments, but nobody wanted to stop.

I've never played anything that turns actual logic puzzles into a board game this well. Mixing ingredients to test theories and then publishing your findings before anyone else feels genuinely tense. The artifact cards that let you bend the rules add just enough chaos.

The deduction mechanic where you rule out ingredient properties one by one kept the whole table arguing for an hour straight, in the best way. Teaching it took a bit of patience, but once everyone grasped the logic puzzle it clicked fast. Easily the most brain-burning game on my shelf right now.
